The Clip Text tab can be accessed either from the View | Clip Text command from the main menu, or by clicking its tab selector in the left pane.

The dropdown menu in the Clip Text tab allows to select the characters type to insert. The available choices are: Control characters, ANSI characters, HTML3.2, HTML 4.0, Style sheet (css1), Style sheet (css2), and XHTML 1.0. Open the list with the characters you need and select the character to insert. When you click on the character, it will be inserted at the position where the cursor is.
