Status bar

The Status bar is the long narrow bar at the bottom of the TurboEditor window. The Status bar can be displayed/hidden when you select/deselect it from the View | Status bar menu. The Status bar shows important information, such as the cursor position, the file type of the current type (UNIX or DOS), whether the Insert or Overwrite mode is enabled, and if the Cap Lock, Num Lock, and Scroll Lock keys are pressed on the keyboard.

Cursor position

The cursor position is shown in the center of the status bar. The cursor position shows the horizontal (line number) and vertical (column number) of the cursor.

File Type

Next to the cursor position, you will see the file type indicator, which shows that the file is either for UNIX, or for DOS.

Keyboard Indicators

The last rightmost section of the Status bar is occupied by the keyboard indicators. Here you can see if the current mode is Insert (INS) or Overwrite and if the Cap Lock, Num Lock, and Scroll Lock keys are active or not.
