Use menu [Tools | Local Service Manager].

Create a user named Anonymous in the domain for which you want to enable anonymous login using the Add User Wizard. Select the "Anonymous" checkbox in the page "Step 1". In Step 2, specify anonymous users' public directory and select [Access rights to home directory | Read-only] (which is the default). After the anonymous user is created the domain is ready to accept anonymous login. You can choose Anonymous or Anonymous with Valid Email as login password in [Domain | General | Password Type].

1. Make sure the TurboFTP Server Daemon service is running.
2. Make sure you are connecting to the correct domain IP and port the server is listening to. 3. Check server log to make sure the intended domain has started and is listening to the port(s) it provides service on. 4. Make sure the connection is not being blocked by any IP Access rule, login restriction, threshold parameters in [Domain | Max] page.

Create an SSH key pair for the user and put the public key into the user's home folder's sub-folder named 'ssh_key' (create one if it doesn't exist). Enable public key authentication in the SSH/SFTP client and provide the path to the user's SSH public key and private key (and the key pass phrase if any).

One of the two identical rules is inherited from the current folder's parent. When you select the inherited rule, the permissions are all grayed out.

The old copy of TurboFTP Daemon must be stopped before the new version can overwrite it. Sometimes it takes longer to exit. In that case, do not abort the installation. Just wait for another couple seconds and hit the "Retry" button and it will eventually proceed.

When a user has belonged to a user class, the options which are grayed out are determined by the corresponding user class options.

TurboFTP Server updates the NTLM/ODBC/LDAP user list at preset intervals. You can update user list by refreshing the domain.

TurboFTP Server treats username case-insensitive and forces all user names to be lower case.

When you switch from other authentication methods to TurboFTP Server Internal User Database method, the user list will remain the same because it uses the clone of user list of previous authentication method. Also, all user settings except password are stored in TurboFTP Server's internal database only, thus they remain as well.

FTP/FTPS
Supports explicit and implicit SSL/TLS with industrial strength cryptography including 256-bit AES encryption. Supports MD4, MD5, SHA-1 OTP schemes, and on-the-fly MODE-Z compression.

SFTP/SCP over SSH
Allows you to select SSH key exchange algorithms, ciphers, compression algorithms and MAC algorithms.

HTTP/HTTPS
A TurboFTP Server domain's VFS (Virtual File System) can be accessed via a Web interface. Any user of the domain can access (view file list, download and upload files) his home directory with any modern browsers by logging into the Web interface using the same credentials.

Authentication Options
Apart from the built-in authentication method, TurboFTP Server supports external authentication with Active Directory, LDAP, ODBC, and NTLM.

Extensive Connection Access Control Options
An extensive set of options are provided to control connections to the server at both domain and user levels. including max number of connections, max number of connections per IP/User, max login failures, max connection time, session idle timeout, transfer timeout, login time restriction etc.

Granular Directory Access Control in Virtual File System
TuroFTP Server allows you to manage the server's whole Virtual File System with a clear single hierarchy view. The virtual file system is extensible with virtual folders. A user's home folder can be "chroot jailed". Different access permissions (read, write, delete, create etc) can be configured for individual user or group, at folder level.

Virtual Domains
TurboFTP Server can run multiple virtual domains on a single physical host machine.

Virtual Folder
You can map any local folder path to a virtual server folder.

User Class
User Class is introduced to set up connection access control over a group of users, while the concept of 'group' is used exclusively in directory access control.

SSL Certificate and SSH Host Key wizards
You can create SSL certificates for FTPS services and SSH host key pairs for SFTP services right in the management console with quick and easy wizards.

IP Access Control
IP filters can be applied at domain and user levels.

Quota, Bandwidth Limit and Transfer Speed Limit
You can control both download and upload bandwidth usage of a user or a user class at different time intervals. You can throttle the transfer rate of download and upload at domain and user levels.

Real time Monitoring of Server and Domain Status
In TurboFTP Server Management Console you can monitor connected users' activity (IP, connection time, command) and the view the overall domain read time performance graph which illustrates the number of users, overall download and upload rates.

Remote Administration
Using the TurboFTP Server Management Console you can connect to a remote TurboFTP Server daemon via a secure channel protected by SSL/TLS and manage the server remotely.

Configurable Administrator Privileges
Multiple administrators can be created and granted privileges on designated domains.

Extensive Logging Options
TurboFTP Server can be configured to create log in either W3C extended log format or NCSA common log format. Log can be rotated periodically based on time or log file size.
